NGMC

So basically i was doing NGMC(Newgrounds musicians championship), and it was long and fun.

In the end after all that waiting for final results i placed on a very nice 5th place out of 40? or something(in the end less people actually competed but they were still mentioned in the sheet.

The contest was about collabing with one person each round and make a race theme based on a specific theme which changed for every round.

It was great all of them have unique styles and approaches to their music and while the collab with 3manon was simply the most fun XD it was a really great experience to experience all these different fusions of styles XDD

Other stuff

Other stuff is about other stuff i was doing in between the stuff i did for NGMC stuff.

Which i made for my friends theatre play and oh boy its doing well....

Its just....how, even my most popular song is only now reaching 9k and that is being accumulated over 3 years

and this "Cataclysm" reached more than half of that in not even a month....thanks yall thats absolute bonkers.

To keep this at similar topic...my friend reached out for me once again and asked me if i could make another piece for another play...what that will be ill say when ill release it :D

Im not gonna say that its gonna be better or bigger or whatever, but it might be one of the more complex ones i will make there is alot to convey, a lot of scenes and changes emotions and atmospheres...also i wont be going the Hanz Zimmer style i went with on Cataclysm...this time its going to be my personal style with my influences which in the end should be a bit more similar to what im doing normally in cinematics or orchestrals.

The remaining not important stuff

Aside from all this i was pretty active this year and im slowly starting to feel a bit tired...i most likely wont be joining AIM this year nor ill try ADM or anything and just try to chill out a bit after i finish the friends song.

But since youre here i will talk about two big things that happened to me

Jamuary

Same as last year i tried to do jamuary and this year i challenged myself to add guitar to all 31 songs.

It was really tough and some of those songs have very little guitar or it is either very simple or just a bit wonky/goofy.

But i did it and here are all the songs:

I will be taking a break from producing, not only because i did jamuary but also because ill have to repair my computer.

After that tho i would like to look at some of those songs i made and kinda finish them, there were few ideas that i really liked and would like to develop them a bit more.

Yeah thats about it from jamuary.

VGMC (Video game music challenge)

Last year, to my big surprise i was invited to be an admin in this challenge and make a short story. People who joined then could pick out of multiple stories and make a song based on the instructions written in it.

It was an opportunity for me to not only listen to some new music but to kinda try actually writting down my ideas and get a bit better at giving feedbacks or reviews (in the end i basically just described my imaginations XD)

With that being said, i would like to thank everyone involved, especially @Everratic for inviting me.

Da song

This song represents how i view music as my passion, hobby and the way i would like to grow in the future.

Also its kinda my way of getting used to the fact that theres still alot to learn and that things dont need to be perfect in order to be fun and interesting.

For me its all about messing around with stuff that i feel like sounds cool and interesting, exploring how different styles of music feel like, what emotions i experience while working on them...learning instruments and just let them melodies and riffs out from pure spontaneousness.

It is all great and im glad that people who listen can experience this or atleast something similar :D and i hope ill be able to push this even further and make better music.

Also i noticed that i got a trophy? weekly 4th place....oh dayum i dont know how serious that is but its cool i was really surprised, its my first trophy and ill flex it with all my friends XD

And the song will soon have 2k listens so fast which is really awesome.

It has been a great time

Imma be honest at first i expected to like, make about 5-7 songs, not even that.

But the ideas were coming, i learned to take inspiration from more sources....if it is stuff i hear in my head or just things i see or maybe stuff other people told me.

I had to learn to actually develop ideas, not all of them went the way i wanted and its not music i would actually release.

Ive made few new presets to add into my sound "library", learned to make more dynamic and fun melodies.....oh boy i even tried some new genres and explored stuff i didnt do before.

It was great, im thankful for this challenge @Droid im not sure ill be joining next year if there will be this challenge too.

But it was a great time.

I will definitely go back to some of those tracks i made since there are some serious concept i would like to explore deeper. For now that would be CollabJam and AnarchyJam while some might come in future.

But for now im going to take a loooooong break XD from producing

Jamuary basically boosted my number of songs here on NG XD but it is what it is and this song is a speedrun celebration of this little milestone. A little bit more familiar sounds and simple composition, but it slaps imo.
